Valdyr, a Jarl accused of consorting with the Fulvaityr, has moved troops to a nearby lair that cuts deep into the mountains.
 
A small task force is hastily assembled to penetrate this fortress and capture one of Valdyrs trusted lieutenants, and bring him to answer for valdyrs actions in the town.
 
There is no reward offered except the spoils of war.

This adventure is for level 3 characters only and can be played again with the same character.

Start with the entrance card with the peaceful crossroads map card attached.
Make a facedown map deck by drawing 20 random map cards and shuffle in the objective room card.

 

Guard Dog:  Use the "Wolf" monster but

increase the evade score to 5.

 

Threat points: Keep a count of threat points.

These can increase from the initial 2 points up to 6 points.

The encounter table works differently in this adventure.  Each roll either adds Threat Points or exchanges those Threat Points for monsters.  It is up to the player to decide from the table which combination of monsters to fight.

No encounter, but add one threat point.

4+

Encounter.  Use the current threat points to pick monsters

Threat Table.  On an encounter use ALL the current threat points to make a encounter.

Afterwards, the current Threat points are reduced to 2.

When the objective map card is played, fight a level 4 and level 2 bandit.

Valdyrs lieutenant is expecting you, alerted to your presence by the sounds of battle and carnage.

Immediately upon defeating the level 4 bandit, add a "Hostage" companion into play.

Escape the dungeon to complete this adventure.
